PC - Xbox360 - Wii - PS3 - PSP - NDS - Mobile

Electronic Arts and DICE today have finally confirmed and announced the return of the Medal of Honor series. However, instead of keeping with its World War II patent, it has moved into the modern day. The team at EALA (Single-player) will be collaborating with the team at DICE (multiplayer), who are also developing Battlefield Bad Company 2.

“When we first set out to reinvent Medal of Honor, we wanted to stay true to its roots of authenticity and respect for the soldier but bring it into today’s war. The Tier 1 Operator is the most disciplined, deliberate and prepared warrior on the battlefield. He is a living, breathing, precision instrument of war.” said Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer, Medal of Honor. “We are honored to have the rare opportunity to work closely with these men to create a game that shares their experience.”

“EA has always been an advocate for telling the soldiers’ story. The new Medal of Honor follows that tradition. We felt it was important to tell the story of today’s war and today’s elite soldiers via today’s most relevant medium – videogames,” said Sean Decker, VP and General Manager of EALA. “We are so proud to bring together two powerhouse development teams to make this game a reality; EA Los Angeles and EA DICE. Medal of Honor promises to be an unforgettable entry in the modern shooter genre.”

The game will introduce the Tier-1 Operator from the US (United States) Special Forces who take orders from the National Command Authority for missions in Afghanistan. The game has a TBA release date of Fall 2010 and will be releasing for the Xbox 360 and PC and PS3. Don't forget to tune into the Spike TV Video Game Awards to get a first-look trailer into Medal of Honor.

Set to release this coming Spring for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, Backbreaker looks to break the current mold of NFL licensed games that have been ruled by EA Sports. The game has no links to any exsisting football league whether here in the US or in Europe. The game will concentrate more on exciting gameplay and apparently put an end to canned animations.

Backbreaker redefines gameplay in the football video game genre with a stunning on-field camera view, accessible controls and a relentless onslaught of hard-hitting tackles. With NaturalMotion’s acclaimed euphoria motion synthesis engine featuring in a sports title for the very first time, Backbreaker offers intense gameplay, dazzling graphics and an endless variety of unique football moments. From the moment players step onto the gridiron, Backbreaker is in a class of its own.

Backbreaker sets the new standard for football,” said Adam Kline, president of 505 Games U.S. “Repetitive, canned animations are a thing of the past. We recognize that fans are eager for something new, and Backbreaker will blow them away.”

The game will also feature 11 vs. 11 multiplayer online support including both Arcade and Pro difficulty modes. Will we finally have a football game to compete with the likes of EA's Madden? Both Blitz and All Pro Football have failed to break the market, hopefully Backbreaker can shed some new light.
