Spike TV has announced that they will be celebrating the launch of Gears of War 2 with a half-hour special titled "Gears of War 2: The First Delta Squad." The show will air on Thursday November 6th at 11:30pm ET/PT on Spike TV.

Spike TV will celebrate the launch of one of this year's most anticipated video games, Gears of War 2, with a half-hour special hosted by "GameTrailers TV's" Geoff Keighley, which premieres Thursday, November 6 (11:30 PM - Midnight, ET/PT).

Spike TV's "Gears of War 2: The First Delta Squad" special will feature five die-hard gamers from around the country participating in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, to be the first consumer in the world to play Epic Games Gears of War 2.  In order to receive this honor, the five Gears fanatics must compete in an alternate Gears of War world.  Set in various locations across Los Angeles, the chosen five must face challenges, tough decisions and make sacrifices in order to find the secret location that houses the first copies of Gears of War 2.

Additionally, the special will reveal to viewers exclusive codes to Gears of War 2 content.  This half-hour presentation also includes special guest appearances by former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, Gears of War 2 design director Cliff Bleszinski and the voice of August Cole, actor Lester Speight.  On November 3rd log onto spike.com for an exclusive sneak peek of the show.

Developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Gears of War 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Gears of War.  Following its unveiling at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Gears of War 2 was named "Overall Best Shooting Game" and "Overall Best Graphics Technology of E3 2008" by IGN and "Best Action Game of E3 2008" by Game Critics Awards.  Exclusive to the XBOX 360 video game console, this tactical third-person shooter video game is in stores Friday, November 7.
